Sea, Pop & Sun

Fondation Carmignac, Éditions Dilecta

The exhibition Sea, Pop & Sun, presented by the Fondation Carmignac, explores the influence of the pop spirit from the 1960s to the present day. Bringing together more than eighty works by historic and contemporary artists, the exhibition establishes a dialogue between Pop Art and the Mediterranean imaginary, where the sea, the sun and leisure time act as the guiding threads of the project. The official exhibition catalogue has been published by Éditions Dilecta, a publisher specialising in contemporary art publications.

The Fondation Carmignac promotes exhibitions and editorial projects linked to its contemporary art collection from the Villa Carmignac, on the island of Porquerolles. The publication features editorial design by Atelier Pierre Pierre, responsible for constructing its visual narrative. The cover features Sunset (1972) by Andy Warhol, an emblematic work by the American artist that synthesises the visual and chromatic universe inspiring this edition.

The catalogue was printed at the facilities of Agpograf Impressors, featuring a cover in Freelife Kendo 300 g from Fedrigoni Paper and 232 interior pages in Munken Lynx 130 g from Munken Paper, printed in four-colour process. The binding is a thread-sewn paperback with 13 cm flaps, a solution that provides flexibility and strength to the whole. The project is completed with metallic stamping on the cover, spine and back cover.
