Lueurs, Adrien Demont

Les Éditions de la Cerise

Les Éditions de la Cerise is an independent French publishing house specializing in author comics, illustrated books, and publications that explore new narrative and graphic forms. Since its foundation, it has developed a catalogue focused on unique projects, with special attention to the relationship between content, design, and the editorial object. Within this approach is Lueurs, a work by French illustrator and author Adrien Demont.

Halfway between an illustrated book and a visual narrative, Lueurs creates a journey shaped by observation, light, and atmosphere. Demont’s work is characterized by a detailed graphic language and a remarkable ability to generate stories through images, inviting readers to engage in a slow and contemplative reading experience. The author builds his visual universe from compositions of cut-out and layered silhouettes, crafted exclusively with a scalpel and cardboard to create images of striking visual strength. With this title, Les Éditions de la Cerise continues its commitment to projects that position publishing as an essential part of the artwork itself.

At Agpograf, we produced the volume with particular attention to its finishing details. The book is bound in a sewn hardcover binding with 2.5 mm board and a straight spine. The cover case wrap uses Colorplan paper from GF Smith, printed in LED UV offset with one black ink, while the 144 interior pages have been printed in conventional offset on Munken Lynx paper from Munken Paper, with white offset paper endpapers. The finishing plays a key role in the project: the cover wrap combines copper foil stamping and yellow screen printing, while the painted corners provide an additional visual element that reinforces the identity of the editorial object.
