Recovered Archives (AR) is a project by Paz Miamor, the graphic design studio of the Argentinian duo Mauricio Gallegos and Gastón García Aja, based in Barcelona and Buenos Aires. It is a compilation of graphic works produced between 2014 and 2024 that had not been selected for final projects or published until now. This volume reflects a search for the studio’s process, concept, and visual identity. It not only revisits a decade of experiences but also documents an unplanned creative exploration in print format.
The book is the graphic testimony of this internal journey. It brings together unpublished works in a volume that values exploration, practice, and the creative process more than the finished project. Beyond its retrospective or commemorative value, the studio presents the work as its own search for identity—entirely fortuitous and without a prior script.
Printed using HP Indigo digital offset technology, the book stands out for its especially meticulous production. The visible-thread binding leaves the spine exposed, and the paper chosen was Arena Natural Rough from Fedrigoni Paper for both the cover (300 g) and the interior (120 g). Five different covers were produced, each in a different color, offering a plural and collectible edition.
