Chamo San is an artist and illustrator born in Barcelona. His work features realistic images to which he adds graphic elements that give them character. He distances himself from hyperrealism, seeking a different side of reality.
Sketched Memories presents a selection of drawings and sketches that the artist has filled his notebooks with over the course of a decade, from 2011 to 2021. The publication also includes other works and projects that share the same format and technique.
The project was designed with the talent of the Guirado studio; Oficina 200BIS handled the project management, and it was printed at the Agpograf workshop. The result is an original and distinctive object. It offers a characteristic chromatic palette through the use of yellow fabric binding by Winter Company, blue Popset endpapers by Antalis, and red accents in the bookmark ribbon, headbands, and stitching thread of the hardcover. The book’s interior is printed in conventional offset on Munken Lynx by Unión Papelera. The screen-printed and debossed cover enhances the tactile experience for the reader.
