Volata is a bimonthly magazine born in Barcelona in 2014, committed to cycling culture through slow journalism: thoughtful interviews, in-depth reports, and high-quality photography. The magazine has established itself as a unique voice within Spanish-language cycling journalism and continues to grow thanks to a loyal community and the support of professionals like Laura Meseguer, Ander Izagirre, Juan Antonio Flecha, and Luis Ángel Maté.
With issue 43, Volata celebrates its 10th anniversary by reflecting on the past and reviewing the decade. The publication recalls moments like the 2014 Emakumeen Bira (with a report by Laura Álvarez), recreates the epic story of Gino Bartali through Marcos Pereda, revisits the original routes of Girona and the Costa Brava, and includes never-before-seen images of the old Velòdrom d’Horta.
The magazine’s design, by Olga Àvalos, Isaac Vilalta, and Enric Adell, features holographic stamping on the cover to highlight the special nature of this commemorative issue. Inside, there are 144 pages printed with LED UV offset on offset paper. The production is finished with a sewn paperback binding.
