Czapek & Cie is a Swiss luxury watchmaking house with a long historical tradition dating back to the 19th century. In its current chapter, the brand has successfully reinterpreted this legacy by combining heritage with a contemporary outlook, reviving the craftsmanship and technical rigor that defined its origins and once again positioning itself within independent haute horlogerie.
The catalogue We Collect Rare People was published to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the brand’s revival and the 180th anniversary of its founding. The editorial project was conceived by Estudi PUK (Barcelona) and edited by Stephen Pulvirent, with a proposal that aligns content and design in service of the brand narrative. The publication functions both as a commemorative piece and as a medium to reinforce the identity and values of Czapek & Cie.
From a technical standpoint, the catalogue features a sewn hardbound binding with a flat spine and headbands. The cover, wrapped in Sirio Dark Blue paper from Fedrigoni Paper, was printed using LED UV offset with silver ink and completed with silver stamping on the front cover, back cover, and spine. The interior, comprising 320 pages, was printed in full color using LED UV technology on Arctic Volume White paper from Arctic Paper, while the endpapers feature silver stamping on Sirio Color Iris paper from Fedrigoni Paper. The result is a publication that remains true to the brand’s standards of quality and excellence.
