The Centre d’Art Tecla Sala publishes Papers Treballats, a catalogue that documents the donation of graphic work made by the critic and art historian Daniel Giralt-Miracle to L’Hospitalet. This collection, made up of hundreds of artworks, comes from artists, galleries, publishers and foundations with whom Giralt-Miracle has maintained relationships throughout his career. The aim of the project is to preserve these “worked papers” as testimony to an artistic and human ecosystem that spans from critical debate to graphic creation.
The graphic design of the publication is by Pau Torrente Vidal, who conceives the volume as a space for dialogue between institutional rigor and Giralt-Miracle’s personal identity. The volume incorporates two fold-out sheets and a cover with flaps, technical details that reflect the work as a living, dynamic archive.
The production combines two technologies that we work with internally in our workshop: LED UVI offset printing for the cover and digital printing with HP Indigo for the interior. This dual infrastructure allows us to adapt each part of the project to the process that best optimizes its result.
The cover, printed on Arena White Rough 300 g by Fedrigoni Paper, offers a special texture and tactile quality that reinforces the contemplative nature of the project; and the interior is printed on Pergraphica Classic Smooth 150 g by Mondi. The book is bound in PUR perfect binding and features a blind debossing on the cover.
