Agnès Varda was one of the most prominent and original French filmmakers of her generation, awarded with prizes such as the César, the Palme d’Or, and the Oscar, among others. As a precursor of the Nouvelle Vague, a passionate traveler, photographer, and artist attentive to social changes, Varda established herself as one of the few female directors of her era and a key figure in French cinema.
The exhibition “Agnès Varda. Photographing, Filming, Recycling” is an expanded version of the show “Viva Varda!”, conceived and produced by the Cinémathèque Française in Paris in collaboration with Ciné-Tamaris. On this occasion, the Centre of Contemporany Culture of Barcelona (CCCB) and Arcadia have published a Catalan adaptation of the first French edition of the catalog. This meticulous work, carried out by designer Pau Torrente, retains a strong resemblance to the original edition.
The catalog has been printed with LED UV offset technology on Offset Magno Natural paper for the interior. The cover with flaps is printed on Munken Lynx from Arctic Paper and features black stamping. The book is bound in sewn paperback.
